I love the every beat They correspond to my heartbeat The crack of the snare starts the procession The drop of the bass is a contamination That makes me sick with the stick As it rolls of the skin of each and every sound And I’m the leader in my own world of sounds And my drum is a witness. SONNET- Insane my brain is taking too much pain. Oh how I will begin my day so old. Today, yesterday, O I am insane. So far oh how my today is so re-gold. Yesterday was one of the rainy days. Today is the best day I have had. Oh how I always wish upon these days. How I wish nothing could make me feel bad. I think about how I can see someone. I pray, I play, I laugh to see her smile. Oh how I wish she could be the one. For I can see her feeling from a mile. I try hard everyday, harder I try, For more loving and never to make her cry MEMORY POEM- ONE SHOT Five, four, three, two, counts down the time left on the shot clock, one. Flashback, take me back take it slow Down by 3 three points with eleven second left on the clock, all of our faces down with frowns It lied heavy in m hand and the thoughts of us loosing sunk me down, the feeling of u winning rose me up, the drop of every second, placed the thoughts that lead the release. The flick of my wrist was a wish, the release of the ball from my hands raised hands in hope for glory and a shot. All eyes followed the path that the ball took, fingers crossed and hats tossed as the ball kissed the bottom of the rim and hugs the bottom of the net. Buzzer, game tied. Over time lead us to a win; all heads were raised in praises, claps of thunder and looks of envy. Rockets, AYYYYYEEEE MY POETRY- When I write proems it from an inspiration from something that I heard or seen at that moment. It might be a word, the way the day is, someone saying something like “my dreams is my life.” Something like that can make me write poetry about dreams of life or someone’s thoughts. I like using metaphors. The metaphors that I use can make someone that is reading the poetry pause and think and relate to what I am saying. I like writing poems that is an explanation of what I do or something that I have did. It might be a short moment, but I like the fact that when I write, it becomes this big story that others can say ahh I know I that fell or I have been there before. I also like writing poems with a meaning; it can be a significant thing in history or what I feel about something at that moment. For example in my freshman year, I had to write a poem about the 12 year world in Sierra Leone and as I was writing the poems each and everyone got to me in a way and a lot of others were amazed that I could write poems like that and I was amazed myself. Poetry is one way that I express myself.

The Cambridge ladies who live in furnished souls are unbeautiful and have comfortable minds (also, with the church's protestant blessings daughters, unscented shapeless spirited) they believe in Christ and Longfellow, both dead, are invariably interested in so many things- at the present writing one still finds delighted fingers knitting for the is it Poles? perhaps. ANYLIZING POEMS The first poem, Maggie, Molly, Milly and May to me is not just explaining how a group of friends who went out and had different evens happen to them. To me it’s saying that how we all as people have different things that make us who we are, it might be the little sweetness in our hearts, the annoying part of us or the sensitive part of us. I like the face that E.E Cumming didn’t explain to us how Maggie, molly, milly and may were far as behavior wise but someone can get an understanding of who they are from what they found at the sea and when Cumming said that “for whatever we lose it always ourselves we find at sea.” That one line gave me an idea and understanding of what each of those people act like and how people of the world act as well. In the second poem r-p-r-p-h-e-s-s-a-g-r I couldn’t get a true understanding of it, I choose it because, it’s a different form of writing I have never seen something like it, I don’t know how it read, but it interesting to me how it was created and makes me more interested in Cummings writings. My understanding from the poem The Cambridge ladies who live in furnished souls, is that E.E Cumming took the Cambridge Ladies to explain his feeling about the after life. To me its like he is saying that in the after life there are no worries about things that might have meant something in the normal world, like looks and the thoughts of others. To me it’s saying that after life can be good or bad depending on how you live life on earth. That’s what I understood from all the poetry that was written by Cummings.
